US-Israel Relations

A Thesis — 1963 to Present

This page is an argument. It reads documented events through one frame, and each part below states what would refute it. The record — the same relationship as dates, standing instruments, ruptures in both directions and open questions, every claim tiered — is at US–Israel in the bilateral section, built in the same shape as every other country.

Summary

The documented record shows not a single event but a convergence of policy reversals that occurred within weeks and months of November 22, 1963. Every domain where JFK pushed back — CIA autonomy, Israeli nuclear program, Vietnam escalation, military spending — reversed within days to months under LBJ. Two former presidents who built the institutions in question (Eisenhower: military-industrial complex; Truman: CIA) issued public warnings bookending the assassination.

What would refute this

US policy on the Israeli nuclear program reversed within months of November 22, 1963.Declassified records showing the Johnson administration continued the Kennedy-era inspection demands on Dimona at the same intensity through 1964–65, rather than relaxing them.
The reversals across domains (CIA, Vietnam, nuclear, spending) were convergent rather than independent.Documentary evidence that each reversal was already decided or in motion before November 1963 — which would make the date a coincidence of timing rather than a hinge.
The Eisenhower and Truman warnings bookend the shift.Nothing — this is a framing choice, not a claim, and it is marked as one. Two speeches do not establish causation.

The Reversal Table — November 22, 1963

DOMAIN	UNDER JFK	UNDER LBJ
Vietnam	NSAM 263: withdraw 1,000 troops by end of '63	NSAM 273 (4 days later): open-ended → 500,000 troops by '68
CIA	Fired top 3 officials, installed outsider as DCI	Put fired CIA chief ON the investigation commission
Israel / Dimona	Near-ultimatum on nuclear inspections; defensive weapons only, cash	First offensive weapons; aid tripled; inspections abandoned; USS Liberty absorbed
Defense Spending	Maintained restraint	10% of GDP by 1968 ($210B in 1982 dollars)
Currency	Silver certificates still circulating	Fed became sole currency issuer
False Flags	Rejected Northwoods; removed Joint Chiefs chair	Gulf of Tonkin fabrication → war authorization
